Cut, Balance, and Grow, Energizing American Jobs and Security, and Overhaul Washington plans are outstanding and just what the country needs to return to limited government, constitutional republicanism, individual responsibility, fiscal responsibility, and increased liberty.
Contrary to the opinion of some Romney supporters, evangelical opposition to Romney's candidacy is about his record and not any imagined anti-Mormon bigotry. Mitt Romney has been on all sides of all the major issues. Mitt Romney is indeed a conservative of convenience who has adjusted his views to reflect whatever is necessary to win the next election and therefore cannot be trusted to follow through when it is time to fight for his current policy positions. The majority of conservatives do not want Mitt Romney to be nominee and his nomination is not inevitable. There is time for conservatives to unite behind a superior candidate.
Evangelicals With Newt in endorsing Speaker Gingrich for President.
It has been our privilege to work toward the nomination of Gov. Perry these past several months and are greatly disappointed things did not turn out as we had hoped. The cause, however, is greater than any one person and we look forward to continuing to fight the good fight as we throw our support behind Speaker Gingrich. If it, in fact, turns out that Gov. Perry does not finish ahead of Newt and Sen. Santorum in S.C., we hope he will suspend his campaign, endorse Newt Gingrich, and encourage his supporters to do the same. If Sen. Santorum finishes behind the Speaker in S.C., we would likewise hope he will drop out of the race for the sake of a united conservative effort in Florida.
